Disabled Persons and Family Support
The Disabled Persons and Family Support (DPFS) program assists persons of all ages who have a medically determinable severe, chronic disability diagnosed by a licensed medical professional. The program is designed to encourage the preservation of the family unit, maintaining independent living situations for the maximum level of independence, and for disabled adults to remain or become employed. Applicants found to be eligible may receive funding for authorized services up to $400 per month
For over 45 years, the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program has filled the nutritional needs of the homebound by providing hot, noon meals, personally delivered by our team of volunteers and paid drivers. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has identified the Food Bank of Lincoln as the administrator for the federal Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) in the Lincoln area. CSFP is a program for seniors 60 and over whose income is 130% of the federal poverty line. The program provides free monthly dry food bags designed to cover major food groups: grains, fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy.

Provides monthly onsite pick-up or delivery of USDA commodities to homebound, income eligible seniors 60+ (monthly incomes of $1,632 or less).
